About the Artist

Hey! I’m Laura, a full time artist and creator of Four West Studio. I’m located in downtown Portland, Maine, where I divide my time between commercial art and my personal practice. Before focusing on being a muralist, I spent years studying design fundamentals and creating art for businesses as a graphic designer. Much of my personal work is influenced by landscapes, flora, and my travels in the American Southwest, and I’m always interested in bringing that subject matter into mural work when it aligns with the space and the client.

The name Four West comes from the place where I lived the first ten years of my life—4 West Street—in a little town near the New Jersey shore. I’ve resided in Maine ever since.
